The Missionary Training Center

We have really enjoyed our time at the MTC. We are assigned with other couples that are serving humanitarian missions all over the world. It is neat to see all the places that the church is helping. Last week we spent the week learning from the "Preach My Gospel" manual and then every night we had language training. We are starting to feel better about the language (a little bit anyway.) On Monday we went to the humanitarian center, welfare square and then to the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and had a catered lunch and then we saw the Joseph Smith movie. It was great. Last night at the fireside Elder Jeffrey and Pat Holland spoke. That was really good. It is so neat to be in there with all those missionaries and to listen to them sing. They really raise the roof. This week we are being instructed on Welfare Services.

Preparations

We have been going non-stop since our call. We sent Terry off on his mission to Louisville, Kentucky in July, have been getting together with friends and family to say goodbye, and attending weekly classes at the Missionary Training Center for language training. Between all that it seems like there isn't enough time to pack. It has been a very fast 3 months.
